student work

Global Scholars students enthusiastically explore their own city’s culture and environment, an essential step in understanding the perspectives of others. Working together, students investigate global issues and share their learning with international peers through project-based learning assignments. Our growing collection of student work offers a range of solutions to the world’s biggest challenges from students’ unique perspectives.

Community ACTION IN hawaii

Each year, Global Scholars complete a Community Action Project. In the World of Water curriculum, students reflected on what they learned about water access, conservation, and pollution, and designed a project that addresses one of these topics. Global Scholars in Hawaii created a website to share what they learned about the harmful effects of sunscreen on ocean corals. It includes a recorded public service announcement shared on public radio, informational brochures, and videos.
