  • Make It Your Own (With Credit): You can adapt Global Scholars content, including the Codebook for Global Student Learning Outcomes, to fit your classroom needs, as long as you let others know it is based on our work. For example, you may use the following attribution to the Codebook: Adapted from Codebook for Global Student Learning Outcomes. (c) Global Cities, Inc. and President and Fellows of Harvard College. Used with permission for educational purposes. All rights reserved.”

What you cannot do with Global cities content:

  • Sell It: Our content cannot be used to make money or for business purposes without asking us first.

  • Claim It As Your Own: Please do not present our work as if you created it yourself.

  • Say We Endorse Something: Using our content does not mean we are officially supporting or endorsing your work or ideas.

  • No Unlawful or Disparaging Content: You cannot use our content to create materials that are unlawful, that disparage any group, or that would otherwise reflect poorly on Global Cities or the Global Scholars program.

Can you use artificial intelligence (AI) in Global Scholars?

  • Yes, if you use AI in a responsible and transparent way. The goal of the Global Scholars program is to help students build global competency skills through virtual exchange. We encourage students to use their authentic voice to share thoughts, ideas, and lived experiences with peers around the world. The guides that follow can help Global Scholars educators and students use AI tools safely and effectively to support this goal. [Insert educator/student guides]

  • Please remember to follow any regulations and guidelines on AI use set by your school or local education authority.
