The Global Scholars program is in 29 countries, with 16 cities in the U.S. and 48 non-U.S. cities.
what we do
Global Scholars is a tech-savvy, direct, peer-to-peer learning program for students 10 to 13 years old. Its purpose is to develop cultural understanding, knowledge of the world, and global competency skills through direct communication in a digital classroom. Global Cities provides the curriculum, access to the secure e-classroom, and ongoing live professional development for classroom teachers by video conference. There are no fees to the schools.
how it works
Learn how we connect classrooms around the world.
Global Scholars begin each program year by creating a video to introduce themselves and their cities to peers around the world. Enjoy glimpses of Barcelona, Buffalo, Hawaii, Madrid, Taipei, Volgograd, and Warsaw in this sampler from 2017-18.
Student Work Gallery 2015-17
Multimedia projects invite Global Scholars to explore connections between each year’s global topic and their own cities. Students advance in digital literacy, language communication, and other key learning outcomes while showing us the world through their eyes. Travel the world with them in the video below.
